Practicing the Presence

In practicing the presence of God, we turn over the days and the nights to God. Eventually we turn over our household, our finances, our business, and the driving of our automobiles to God, even the driving of other drivers. Yes, we even place them under God’s grace. Meditation

Prayer is a contemplation of is. God is ! Life is ! Love is ! Joy is ! Prayer is an outflowing of gratitude that God has given us the heavens and the earth for our glory. Learn to rest, and rely on this assurance of “My Presence.” Let the peace that passeth understanding descend upon you and envelop you. Let it be the love unto your life; let it be the Presence and the Power unto your life. Continue reading The Religion Of Mysticism (4/4)

Attain That Mind (4/4)

There is not far-off God singling you out for special favors, but there is a God of whom one of our great poets wrote: “Speak to Him thou, for He hears, and Spirit with Spirit can meet. Closer is He than breathing, and nearer than hands and feet.” He is closer to you than breathing, and this God within you, this power, this divine love, this infinite wisdom is ready, as you permit it, to perform all you are given to do. It would be helpful to the world if all of us who read this chapter would participate in periods of meditation in which we do not concern ourselves with our own health or wealth or that of our family or nation, but in which our sole function is to realize the presence and power of the Christ.
