The Religion Of Mysticism (1/4)

Only as love becomes embodied within our consciousness, and only as we learn not to condemn, judge or criticize others, to hold no one in bondage to his errors of omission or commission, can we realize the power of love. Only as we learn to pray that the eyes even of our enemies be opened to the Christ, praying that God be the light, wisdom and understanding governing all men, friend or foe, regardless of race, color or creed, are we lifted into a consciousness that frees, not only ourselves but all those who come within range of our thought. We free others from their errors even as we are freed from our own. Continue reading The Religion Of Mysticism (1/4)

The Silence (3/5)

It is in these periods of silence that the spiritual seed takes root in the prepared or fertile consciousness. As we start every day with a period of silence, we will find that every Word of Truth received into our consciousness either by reading, hearing, or by unfoldment, will spring into spiritual fruitage. It is in this stillness and silence that all of the power of God takes place, and it is then that the real work of our lives is accomplished.

Awakening to Your True Identity

You are aware now that a Presence goes before you to “make the crooked places straight,” or a Presence goes with you and protects you. It may be in your car, driving; it may be anywhere; but all of a sudden you have the assurance, “Fear not! Fear not! Impersonalization Illustrated (4/5)

Just think of the Master saying to Lazarus: “Come forth.” In other words, death isn’t a power. “Young maid, I say unto thee: Arise.” Death isn’t a power. He didn’t turn to God and say, “I’ll bring the power of God down to heal you or to raise you.” In fact, at the tomb of Lazarus he even said: “I don’t even have to pray, but for the sake of those around here who still believe in prayer.” But all he said was: “Lazarus, come forth. Blind man, open your eyes.” Not a word about, “I’ll have God open your eyes.” Continue reading Impersonalization Illustrated (4/5)

The Fabric of Being (3/5)

Now, I know how many metaphysicians have used that approach of, “You are spiritual and you are perfect.” Looking at the individual they were saying it to, you could hardly believe it. Or saying, “You ought to be more loving, or you ought to be more just, or you ought to be more something or other,” and then looking at them and saying, “I know you’d like to be if you could be.” What a waste of time to tell you what you ought to be. How do I know all this? Because I know what a waste of time it is to tell me to be different than I am. What I am – I am; and what I was in the past, I was; and telling me that it isn’t so good isn’t going to make me change it. First place, I’ll probably not believe it.
