Spiritual Consciousness (1/4)

Imagine, if you can, what would be the nature of a God that could watch these last three wars through which we’ve gone and do nothing about it.  Just let it go on, aware of it?  Heaven forbid that there should be such a God!  If God had the power to stop these wars – these bombings, the poverty, the slavery in some parts of the world – and didn’t stop it, God would be fiend, not a God; and if God didn’t have the power to stop it, God certainly wouldn’t be a God – one or the other.  If God had the power to stop it and didn’t, it could not be God; if God had the power to stop it, and didn’t, God would be a fiend.  Not even a human parent could watch this carnage and permit it to go on if they could stop it. The Thunder Of Silence (1/5)

Here again, you see, this is not a going back to duality. This is not going back to a God and a man, but this is revealing that I, Joel, am an instrument for I, God, but I, God and I, Joel, are one. I, God, being the infinite divine universal principle and Joel Its instrumentality, vehicle, body, mode of expression, form, instrument or outlet—and yet one.

The “I” Within (4/4)

We always begin with what we have.  Never acknowledge that you don’t know enough truth; never acknowledge that you haven’t enough of truth or anything else. One statement of truth is enough to complete your entire life’s demonstration. Why?  If you make use of the one truth that you have, it will multiply itself.  This is the secret of supply in any direction, whether it is the supply of truth, or the supply of money, or the supply of homes, or transportation.  You start with what you have, and you make use of what you have. The “I” Within (1/4)

As long as we try to direct our thoughts or our actions, the effects will be haphazard – good and bad, successful and unsuccessful. A state of complete quiescence in which there is no thinking or planning must be reached. We must be as completely passive as the piece of ice. Such a state can only be achieved when all desire has been surrendered. Do I know the will of God? Certainly not! My will would be to see everyone instantly healed, but would that result in their awakening to spiritual values, in the opening of the soul? No! I must sit back and wait patiently for the will of God to make Itself known. Continue reading The “I” Within (1/4)

Toward the experience (4 of 6)

Infinite Way Letter 1965 – January  Aka – Beyond Words & Thoughts By Joel Goldsmith Part 4 of 6 Toward the experience   Surrender yourself to God         If you are looking up to God, wanting God to do something, and trying to get God to come down to you, you are “out to lunch,” just not around where God is. You must become convinced that God does not reward good and God does not punish evil. Whatever reward or punishment comes is from within your own self as is evident from all the good people in the world who … Continue reading Toward the experience (4 of 6)

Toward the experience (2/6)

Infinite Way Letter 1965 – January Aka – Beyond Words & Thoughts By Joel Goldsmith Part 2 of 6 Toward the Experience   Motive         You might rightly ask, “then what is the good of all this teaching? What is the good of all the years of study of these books?” And I will say to you that the Experience will not come without that. The study, the practice, the living, and the reading are the steps that break down the mortal sense into which we were born, that enable us to “die” to mortal sense and to be “reborn.”         … Continue reading Toward the experience (2/6)

The Miracle

From Beyond Words & Thoughts By Joel Goldsmith Chapter 3 P.40 The Miracle This Presence, and not your mind or mine, is the healing agency. When anyone asks me for help, can you understand that the first thing that takes place in me is that my mind stops functioning, and I stop thinking? I think no thoughts of truth. I listen, and that lets the presence and power of God through to the patient; whereas the moment I try to think a thought, even of truth, then I am trying to make thought a power, I am trying to make … Continue reading The Miracle

Your Demonstration

Study & Meditation #89 1961 Chicago Open Class (1:1A) Tape 407 By Joel Goldsmith  Your Demonstration         If a person could demonstrate nothing at all but the Presence of God, they would find that they would have harmony in every department of their lives. There is only one reason for your discord and mine, and that is the sense of separation from God. The realization of the Presence of God immediately dispels the discords and inharmonies. The object of our work is proving that it is possible to experience the Presence of God and thereby the presence of harmony in … Continue reading Your Demonstration

Sowing and Reaping

IW Morsel – We Build Our Life We build our life in consciousness by the nature of that which occupies our thoughts. As we live this minute, this minute extends itself forward into time and space, carrying with it the quality with which we have imbued this minute. From- A Parenthesis In Eternity By Joel Goldsmith P.315 From – A Parenthesis In Eternity By Joel Goldsmith Excerpt Chap. 5– Sowing and Reaping P.64-65 Our conscious oneness with God constitutes our oneness with every spiritual being and idea. That means that we are one, and as we love our neighbor as … Continue reading Sowing and Reaping
