Object of our consciousness
Jesus did not say that he was the body. He said “I am… the life”. He did not say that he knew the truth. He said, “I am… the truth”.   When we begin to understand what this means – I am life eternal; I am the truth- then we can also see that the body and anything else – music, paintings, sculpture, literature- can be the subject and the object of our consciousness and we can also come into an awareness of what it as it is, not as it appears to be to the unillumined or ignorant sense, but as it really is.
