Prayer (1/3)

What, then is true prayer? What is the prayer that leads us unto God? What is the nature of the prayer that reveals our health and supply, our companionship, and the harmonies of every day living? We know that God is the goal, and our work is to attain that goal. If prayer is the way, what is prayer? What is the prayer of faith, of which James speaks, that results in demonstration? Attainment Of the Contemplative Life (4/5)

And so it is you will find that in your Oneness with God, as far as you can see, everything that you can bear witness to is yours by the Grace of God, and without taking it from someone else. But because of its spiritual nature, it is multiplied in the life of every individual who bears witness to this Truth. Continue reading Attainment Of the Contemplative Life (4/5)

Attainment of the Contemplative Life (3/5)

Once you personalize God, you separate yourself from God’s Grace. The moment you impersonalize by realizing the universal nature of God, and the equality of God’s Grace and bestowal, then you place yourself in the position of praying for your enemies. In other words, knowing the Truth equally about friend or foe, or Greek or Jew, or white or black, or Oriental or Occidental, you are knowing a universal Truth, and you are bringing yourself into a universal principle. Continue reading Attainment of the Contemplative Life (3/5)

The Religion Of Mysticism (3/4)

If you are called upon for a healing and you know only one statement of truth, pour it, voice it, think it, and it will be followed by another. If you have only one dollar, break it, spend it, dime by dime, quarter by quarter: know that as each coin follows the other, so will one dollar follow upon another. God is your only capacity, and God fulfills Itself moment by moment. Even God cannot live the next hour—just this moment. Even the sun cannot shine tomorrow—this is the moment of its shining. Out of the infinite nature of God flows this universe, minute by minute, hour by hour, day by day, on into eternity. Continue reading The Religion Of Mysticism (3/4)

The Tree Of Life (4/5)

And the usual struggle in life is to overcome enemies and try to make friends, but this is not the way of the contemplative. The contemplative knows: “It is I. It is I. This tree is all there is, even if I’m seeing a thousand different branches, it is one tree. It is I, It is I. Be not afraid; it is I. There is not me and another; there is one tree of life. We are all one in that tree, of that tree.” Continue reading The Tree Of Life (4/5)

The Nature of I

From – The Mystical I By Joel Goldsmith P. 31 The Nature of I All discord, all inharmony, and all error are experienced because of a sense of separation from God. But this sense of separation from God is not your fault personally. It is the universal belief that has come down to us from the allegorical experience of Adam and Eve being cast out of the Garden of Eden. Nevertheless, this universal sense of separation from God is responsible for our sins, disease, death, lack, and limitation. Therefore, immortality and infinity can be returned to us only as we … Continue reading The Nature of I

UNDERSTANDING GOD AND PRAYER (4)

1960 HOLLAND OPEN CLASS TAPE 341 SIDE 1 UNDERSTANDING GOD AND PRAYER By Joel Goldsmith Part 4 of 6 So it is, this thing of saying grace, “Thank you, God, for what you have on my table,” what about all our neighbors’ tables? Is that no concern of ours? “Love thy neighbor as thyself”. We should learn to say grace with very meal, but let that be a praise and a gratitude that the crops are in God’s hand, and the things of earth are in God’s hand, and because they are in God’s hand, they’re universal, impersonal, impartial, and … Continue reading UNDERSTANDING GOD AND PRAYER (4)

UNDERSTANDING GOD AND PRAYER (1)

1960 HOLLAND OPEN CLASS TAPE 341 SIDE 1 UNDERSTANDING GOD AND PRAYER By Joel Goldsmith Part 1 of 6 I think most of you know that just one hour ago we arrived, and so we have had a whole hour of holiday. But this is really only the beginning of what I know will be a beautiful week. Every year since I first came to Holland with this Message, we’ve had a most beautiful experience. Many of you have been listening to this message of The Infinite Way since my very first trip and I know that you are at … Continue reading UNDERSTANDING GOD AND PRAYER (1)

The Nature of Spiritual Power

From – Realization of Oneness By Joel Goldsmith Page 197 The Nature of Spiritual Power We are all hypnotized to some extent by the belief that there are good powers and bad powers, spiritual powers and material powers. To be dehypnotized means to come into some measure of agreement that there cannot be God and something besides God. There cannot be Spirit and something unlike or opposite to Spirit. If you have caught the basic principles of this message, you will set aside one meditation period every day for the world, just as if this world were your patient, suffering … Continue reading The Nature of Spiritual Power
