The Fabric of Being (5/5)

You see the idea of power always suggests one power doing something to another power and that is why you have to get used to the idea of non-power, because we don’t even want a God power to do something for us.We are satisfied that God in His infinite power is already doing all that God is supposed to do; therefore, we never call upon God or God’s power to do anything. The Fabric of Being (2/5)

Remember that in your first year of piano lessons you’re not expected to give any concerts in this hall; and so in your first months of working with this principle of non-power, you’re not expected to overcome all of the problems of your life or those of your family or friends; you’re expected only to begin, to make a start because it is not your intellectual agreement with this principle that does the work, but the attaining of the actual consciousness of this truth; and that comes with practice.

The Fabric of Being (1/5)

A way has been revealed – a way out of this wheel of human existence. It is not some new way of getting God to perform His function; it is not some new way of making God do for us what God hasn’t done in the past; it is not some new way of waking God up to his duty or obligation. It is the way of removing the barrier which separates this earth from heaven and thereby experiencing heaven on earth. Continue reading The Fabric of Being (1/5)

What about this body (1/4)

One problem which is uppermost in the lives of a great many people is that of health, that of an ailing or aging body. Even those who are at the moment experiencing physical well-being are puzzled by the relationship of what they see as a material body to the spiritual scheme of things. What about this body? How does it fit into a spiritual universe? Is this material body the Word made flesh? Is it the material body or only the spiritual body which is resurrected? Does the material body manifest God? Spiritual Consciousness (4/4)

God is infinite divine consciousness; therefore God is your individual consciousness, and this consciousness is the law unto your life.  Don’t try to direct it; be satisfied that it is so and rest in that Word.  God is infinite divine consciousness; therefore God is my consciousness and your consciousness; his consciousness and her consciousness; the consciousness of friend and of foe –universal, divine, omnipresent being, God consciousness – the law unto all creation.  And when you rest in that, It picks you up and transforms the mind, the body, and what is called the outer experience, but which now you learn isn’t outer at all.  It’s all taking place within you. Spiritual Consciousness (1/4)

Imagine, if you can, what would be the nature of a God that could watch these last three wars through which we’ve gone and do nothing about it.  Just let it go on, aware of it?  Heaven forbid that there should be such a God!  If God had the power to stop these wars – these bombings, the poverty, the slavery in some parts of the world – and didn’t stop it, God would be fiend, not a God; and if God didn’t have the power to stop it, God certainly wouldn’t be a God – one or the other.  If God had the power to stop it and didn’t, it could not be God; if God had the power to stop it, and didn’t, God would be a fiend.  Not even a human parent could watch this carnage and permit it to go on if they could stop it. The Thunder Of Silence (1/5)

Here again, you see, this is not a going back to duality. This is not going back to a God and a man, but this is revealing that I, Joel, am an instrument for I, God, but I, God and I, Joel, are one. I, God, being the infinite divine universal principle and Joel Its instrumentality, vehicle, body, mode of expression, form, instrument or outlet—and yet one.

The “I” Within (4/4)

We always begin with what we have.  Never acknowledge that you don’t know enough truth; never acknowledge that you haven’t enough of truth or anything else. One statement of truth is enough to complete your entire life’s demonstration. Why?  If you make use of the one truth that you have, it will multiply itself.  This is the secret of supply in any direction, whether it is the supply of truth, or the supply of money, or the supply of homes, or transportation.  You start with what you have, and you make use of what you have.
