Here where I am, God is. Here in the beginning of this new day, God takes over. Here God becomes the directing influence of my day. I dedicate this day to the work of the Father. I dedicate this day to the life of the Father. And of course, in this day, I hold within myself, no condemnation, no criticism, no judgment, no fault finding, but in so far as it lies within my power, forgiveness, understanding, cooperation. I dedicate this day to maintaining the integrity of my own being, and I promise myself, that insofar as I’m given grace, I will not violate my own integrity; my own highest sense of right. To give ourselves a break, to give ourselves the opportunity of coming into harmony, let us take tonight, the very first night of our work, for a dedication and a consecration. Let us dedicate ourselves to spend these next weeks in seeking a conscious realization of God’s presence, and whenever the tempter comes to us and says, “Oh yes, but you need bread, turn those stones into bread. Work a miracle and get rid of that fever.” Turn on that temptation, “Get thee behind me Satan. Well now, in the same way, let us say that somebody has asked you for help, has asked you to pray for them, for their health, has asked you for spiritual help, for your prayers, and so again, you’re going to sit down, and the first thing you’re going to do is forget who it is that phoned you and what they phoned you for or asked you for, because now that they have made the contact with you, and asked you for the help, you’re through now. Now, when we catch that point we see this: But if the Spirit of him—but if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
