Now, if material sense makes us ill, the antidote for it is spiritual consciousness or the realization that Spirit alone is power.  If I say that Spirit alone is power and I don’t love God and man, I’m a liar.  So I’m full of rheumatism, or cancer, or consumption, or something else.  So, I have to open out a way for the imprisoned splendor to escape.  I have to open out a way for forgiveness to flow out from me, prayers to flow out from me for the good and the bad.  Continue reading 215B Chicago Private 25 4/6

And then, in the normal way, those are drawn into my orbit whom I can benefit and who can be benefited by me and who in some way will reciprocate that benefit. But remember, I have no responsibility. I do not have to run up and down the world looking for people, or customers, or patients, or students, or dollars. I can abide at the center of my being. A whole new area of consciousness has opened. If you ever get to know the sweet and gentle and lovely women that I have known who had cancer, you will know that there never was enough hate, envy, or jealousy in them to produce such a horrid disease. If you ever meet the amount of wonderfully sweet men and women all crippled up with arthritis and rheumatism, you will know that there is not enough concentrated sin in their thought to produce that horror of crippling arthritis and so forth.
