World Problems Will Be Solved By A Change of Consciousness – continued

It would be helpful to the world if all of us who read this chapter would participate in periods of meditation in which we do not concern ourselves with our own health or wealth or that of our family or nation, but in which our sole function is to realize the presence and power of the Christ. The Silence (3/5)

It is in these periods of silence that the spiritual seed takes root in the prepared or fertile consciousness. As we start every day with a period of silence, we will find that every Word of Truth received into our consciousness either by reading, hearing, or by unfoldment, will spring into spiritual fruitage. It is in this stillness and silence that all of the power of God takes place, and it is then that the real work of our lives is accomplished.

The Fabric of Being (5/5)

You see the idea of power always suggests one power doing something to another power and that is why you have to get used to the idea of non-power, because we don’t even want a God power to do something for us.We are satisfied that God in His infinite power is already doing all that God is supposed to do; therefore, we never call upon God or God’s power to do anything. The Fabric of Being (2/5)

Remember that in your first year of piano lessons you’re not expected to give any concerts in this hall; and so in your first months of working with this principle of non-power, you’re not expected to overcome all of the problems of your life or those of your family or friends; you’re expected only to begin, to make a start because it is not your intellectual agreement with this principle that does the work, but the attaining of the actual consciousness of this truth; and that comes with practice.

The Essence Of The Infinite

Now in our work we handle every claim: disease, sin, false appearance—that is brought to us not as a person but as the presentation of the carnal mind in one form or another. And then recognize that since the carnal mind is not ordained of God, it is not power. It has no power, is not a law, has no law and therefore must fall by virtue of its own nothingness. By impersonalizing evil in that way we have found that most of the claims yield quickly and thoroughly because we have not touched a person. We have not tried to change a person or psychoanalyze a person. We have known the truth which is that all evil is a belief in two powers. Continue reading The Essence Of The Infinite

The Thunder Of Silence (1/5)

Here again, you see, this is not a going back to duality. This is not going back to a God and a man, but this is revealing that I, Joel, am an instrument for I, God, but I, God and I, Joel, are one. I, God, being the infinite divine universal principle and Joel Its instrumentality, vehicle, body, mode of expression, form, instrument or outlet—and yet one.

Being a disciple of the Christ

Being A Disciple of The Christ By Joel Goldsmith         The disciples of the Christ were imprisoned, but they walked out of prison with an angel ministering to them. The disciple of the Christ, who does not believe safety, security, health, and harmony are to be found in pieces of matter, mounts the cross and rises out of the tomb. That individual, reborn of the Sprit, lives in the Fourth Dimension of life. He is still in the world but not of it. The disciple of the Christ moves about in the world and works at the same daily tasks … Continue reading Being a disciple of the Christ

Contemplative Meditation (2/6)

Infinite Way Letter August 1956 By Joel Goldsmith Part 2 of 6 CONTEMPLATIVE MEDITATION The Middle Path Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath aught against thee; Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. Matthew 5:23,24 If, at any time, you attempt to pray or commune with God and remember that you are holding varying concepts of good and evil—stop right there and make peace within yourself by agreeing that only God is good, … Continue reading Contemplative Meditation (2/6)
