Atmosphere of God (3/5)

Many times people turn to these metaphysical movements, metaphysical teachings, truth teachings, for healings, for some other form of good, and in our present development, all of that is legitimate. It is right that people come to us seeking health, harmony, wholeness; seeking the overcoming of their discords. But watch this point well: It is not legitimate that we continue in that frame of mind very long. Continue reading Atmosphere of God (3/5)

The Christ (1/5)

1950 First Portland Class Tape 4 Side 1 The Christ By Joel Goldsmith Part 1 of 5 I am speaking from that point of scripture which states that I and the Father are one. That particularly, because throughout the message of The Infinite Way, you’re going to find authority, truth, in scripture for most of this message. The first thing I said was that if we knew the letter of truth correctly, we could build the spirit or consciousness of truth. You remember, the Master said, “If I go not away, the Comforter will not come to you.” And then … Continue reading The Christ (1/5)

Immortality (5/5)

One of the high points of the Message of The Infinite Way reveals that although appearances may testify to the fact that there are evils outside our own being (that is, evils connected with people and conditions), we, as students, must immediately recognize that we are being tempted to believe that these are external people or conditions. We must realize that we are being tempted to do something to, for, or about them; whereas, all of this is taking place within our own consciousness, and must be met there. The Object of Healing Is the Transformation of Consciousness

From – The Infinite Way Letters 1959 Excerpt – October By Joel Goldsmith P. 192 The Object of Healing Is the Transformation of Consciousness Certainly there are cases in which the fullness of the healing does not appear in that first moment of realization, no matter how deep it may be, and you may be called upon to repeat the process twice, ten, or a hundred times, because the opacity may lie with your patient or student in whom there must be a change of consciousness before harmony can be outwardly pictured. One of the great stumbling blocks to healing … Continue reading The Object of Healing Is the Transformation of Consciousness

Prayer (1/3)

What, then is true prayer? What is the prayer that leads us unto God? What is the nature of the prayer that reveals our health and supply, our companionship, and the harmonies of every day living? We know that God is the goal, and our work is to attain that goal. If prayer is the way, what is prayer? What is the prayer of faith, of which James speaks, that results in demonstration? Continue reading Prayer (1/3)

Starting The Contemplative Life (3/5)

Always must be the remembrance, then, that what God is doing, God is doing – and needs not your help, and cannot be controlled by you. God’s grace can’t be stopped. Even if you think that you are in disobedience to His laws, God’s grace is still flowing. You may not get the benefit of it because you have cut yourself off from it. Continue reading Starting The Contemplative Life (3/5)

The Last Enemy (4/5)

We have the opportunity of completely overcoming death in the sense of remaining right here on earth in our present form and in a continuing and progressive appearance of that form.
Overcoming the world begins with our understanding of oneness, of our unity with God, with the realization that, inasmuch as “I can of mine own self do nothing,” all that is pouring through me is the life, the health, and the wholeness which is God. Continue reading The Last Enemy (4/5)

God Seeks Us (2/5)

At some time and at some place in our experience, each of us stands in hell. It may be the hell of sin or disease; it may be the hell of lack or limitation; it may be the hell of inharmony, unhappiness or loneliness. All of these so-called hellish experiences become transformed, however, when we realize that even in the midst of this darkness we need not search for God, for “Thou art there.” We have never become separated from God, but the moment we accept a sense of separation it is as if we had no God. Continue reading God Seeks Us (2/5)

The Middle Path / Be Still

Do not seek harmony or health or even God. These are not to be found. “Be still.” Only in deep silence, in refraining from “taking thought,” only in the giving up of the struggle for God, for peace, for plenty, for companionship, can these be experienced. Do you “see” what I am saying? God, health, abundance, freedom, friendships—these are not entities or identities—but experiences. Continue reading The Middle Path / Be Still
