The Christ (5/5)

I know this that the Bible is literally true in those passages that present to us universal truth, such as, for instance: I will never leave you nor forsake you. All these passages that show that the Christ is right where we are; that it isn’t the Christ that has forsaken us, it isn’t God who has forsaken us, it’s that we have, in our human sense, become separated from God. We have not agreed that God can set a table before us in the wilderness. We have not agreed that there is nothing impossible to God. And where we have said, “Well, why doesn’t God do these things,” or “Why isn’t the human race better off?” We forget the very logical answer: The world isn’t turning to God; it’s turning to some finite concept of God. Paul called it the God whom ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.   Continue reading The Christ (5/5)

The Christ (4/5)

1950 First Portland Tape 4 Side 1 The Christ By Joel Goldsmith Part 4 of 5 This quality in the mind of Moses and in the mind of Elijah, we, today call “the Christ.” Whereas Moses called it I Am, and whereas Elijah called it the still small voice, or the angel of the Lord, or the voice of the Lord, you watch what happens when it comes to Christ Jesus, he doesn’t call it by any of those names; he has a new one. He calls it the Father within. I can of my own self do nothing, the … Continue reading The Christ (4/5)

The Christ (3/5)

1950 First Portland Tape 4 Side 1 The Christ By Joel Goldsmith Part 3 of 5 Now, I’m going to go to the third step along the way of scripture and show you that this meat that I have within, or water or wine or resurrection, was, as Jesus called it, even before Abraham. It was not a new dispensation given to the world by a man named Jesus. It was not a new teaching; it was an ancient teaching; so ancient that he said, before Abraham was, and Abraham was the Father of the Hebrews, the originators, so to … Continue reading The Christ (3/5)

The Christ (2/5)

1950 First Portland Class Tape 4 Side 1 The Christ By Joel Goldsmith Part 2 of 5 Now, as you read through your gospels, see if this is not the teaching of the Master. See if this is not what he meant by Christianity: I am the way, the truth, and the life. I am the resurrection; I am the bread; I am the wine; I am the water. Now, let me call your attention to his most mystical, transcendental teaching because it follows naturally; it’s the second step in this unfoldment of oneness. The scene is at the well … Continue reading The Christ (2/5)

The Christ (1/5)

1950 First Portland Class Tape 4 Side 1 The Christ By Joel Goldsmith Part 1 of 5 I am speaking from that point of scripture which states that I and the Father are one. That particularly, because throughout the message of The Infinite Way, you’re going to find authority, truth, in scripture for most of this message. The first thing I said was that if we knew the letter of truth correctly, we could build the spirit or consciousness of truth. You remember, the Master said, “If I go not away, the Comforter will not come to you.” And then … Continue reading The Christ (1/5)

Immortality (5/5)

One of the high points of the Message of The Infinite Way reveals that although appearances may testify to the fact that there are evils outside our own being (that is, evils connected with people and conditions), we, as students, must immediately recognize that we are being tempted to believe that these are external people or conditions. We must realize that we are being tempted to do something to, for, or about them; whereas, all of this is taking place within our own consciousness, and must be met there. Immortality (4/5)

Infinite Way Letter April 1955 By Joel Goldsmith Part 4 of 5 The Price of Truth – continued Based on the Master’s revelation that God is your individual mind, you can understand that there is no limit to your intelligence or your power. Then follow through to the realization that God is your life, and you will understand why you are immortal. As Jesus might have expressed it, “God is Life Eternal.” You must then agree that Life has no ageing process, no changing process, and no death process. In the entire Plan of Life God has not provided one … Continue reading Immortality (4/5)

Immortality (3/5)

Infinite Way Letter April 1955 By Joel Goldsmith Part 3 of 5 The Price of Truth “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.”                                                                                      (Matt. 13:13) The Roman poet, Ovid, once said: “The most acceptable gifts always are those which the giver makes precious,” and if this be so, no gift could be more precious or more appreciated than Truth. Truth bears a tremendous price. Truth cannot be bought … Continue reading Immortality (3/5)
