Contemplation Develops the Beholder (4/5)

Just see neither good nor evil, be a beholder, and then let something take place within you—let the Father present the picture to you. You just bear witness, you just behold! But not with any idea of healing anyone, not with the idea of improving or enriching anyone—merely with the idea of beholding the picture as God made it and as God sees it. Contemplation Develops the Beholder (3/5)

You never enter into the picture, you never seek to change it, improve it, heal it, remove it, destroy it, or make it better. Always, you are at the absolute center of your own being as a beholder. And as a beholder you can truthfully say, “what a beautiful sunset, what a beautiful sunrise God is bringing about, or nature is bringing about.”

Unconditioned Mind – Life (1/5)

But metaphysicians do know this. The metaphysicians of all schools, of all approaches know, and I think the basis of all of them is that there is only one mind, but none of them practice it because when it comes down to actual practice, there is a divine mind, and there is a mortal mind, and a human mind. And while the claim, or the original teaching was that there is one mind, yet always the practitioner looks at your mind to see what’s wrong with you. But actually, it is true that there is only one mind, and that mind is the mind of individual being. It is your mind and my mind. There is only one mind in this room. Specific Principles (2/5)

And the second passage was, “My kingdom is not of this world,” and so I knew that you must never try to demonstrate money or a home or companionship.  You must never try to demonstrate holidays or vacations or automobiles or even transportation because the spiritual kingdom has nothing to do with this world. Yet, when you attain the spiritual kingdom, all of the things of this world are right there for your use.  They are the added things. Continue reading Specific Principles (2/5)

Spiritual Consciousness (4/4)

God is infinite divine consciousness; therefore God is your individual consciousness, and this consciousness is the law unto your life.  Don’t try to direct it; be satisfied that it is so and rest in that Word.  God is infinite divine consciousness; therefore God is my consciousness and your consciousness; his consciousness and her consciousness; the consciousness of friend and of foe –universal, divine, omnipresent being, God consciousness – the law unto all creation.  And when you rest in that, It picks you up and transforms the mind, the body, and what is called the outer experience, but which now you learn isn’t outer at all.  It’s all taking place within you. Spiritual Consciousness (3/4)

Back in the earlier days of the aborigines of Australia, you had there with such complete knowledge of mind power that they could bless, but they could also curse and kill, just with the power of their mind.  The Hawaiians had the good Kahunas that could heal; the bad Kahunas who could kill.  There have been sects of people in most parts of the world where there were original natives, primitive people, and all of these knew the power of mind, and how to use it for good or evil. Spiritual Consciousness (1/4)

Imagine, if you can, what would be the nature of a God that could watch these last three wars through which we’ve gone and do nothing about it.  Just let it go on, aware of it?  Heaven forbid that there should be such a God!  If God had the power to stop these wars – these bombings, the poverty, the slavery in some parts of the world – and didn’t stop it, God would be fiend, not a God; and if God didn’t have the power to stop it, God certainly wouldn’t be a God – one or the other.  If God had the power to stop it and didn’t, it could not be God; if God had the power to stop it, and didn’t, God would be a fiend.  Not even a human parent could watch this carnage and permit it to go on if they could stop it.
