NOETIC SCIENCE
Noetic science (Noetic: derived from the Greek noēsis/noētikos, meaning “inner wisdom,”) is a multidisciplinary field that combines objective scientific tools with subjective inner knowing to study consciousness, the mind, and reality.
You might have come in touch with its ideas through the book “Secrets of Secrets” by Dan Brown
