The Gospel of Thomas

The Gospel of Thomas

The Gospel of Thomas (also known as the Coptic Gospel of Thomas) is an extra-canonical sayings gospel. It was discovered near Nag Hammadi, Egypt, in December 1945 among a group of books known as the Nag Hammadi library. (Wikipedia)

The ‘sayings’ as it says above, are from Jesus of Nazareth and were collected by Thomas.

Dive in the expressions

The expressions of Jesus shared in the Thomas Gospel are a delight to read and are uplifting and refreshing. These beautiful expressions come to life in us as we sit with them. As we listen, as we calm down to receive. That is what we do during the meetings. They will be presented in a different way. We will also use them in meditation and contemplation.

We use this book in this series.

Transformative discourse

Yeshua said:
This sky will pass away,
and the one above it will also pass away.
The dead have no life,
and the living have no death.
On days when you ate what was dead,
you made it alive.
When you are in the light, what will you do?
When you were One, you created two.
But now that you are two, what will you do?
