In the moment that you do not use physical or mental resistance, a transcendental presence of power comes into effect in your consciousness. It’s there all the time. It’s always there. You have… Every individual has enough power within themselves to live eternally, immortally, harmoniously, and abundantly, but they have to learn to live that way without taking thought.

In other words then, the moment that I recognize God as infinite life, omnipresent life, remember, that life which I am, and which you are … And then the minute I realize that all of this evil that comes to my eyes and ears is only the projection of this belief in two powers, and actually is not a person or a condition, then my fears have dropped, and I can get quiet inside and be still. And in that stillness, something takes place of which I am not aware.

I can’t feel it, see it, hear it, taste it, touch it, or smell it; I merely know that I’m in a calm. But that calm is the presence of this transcendental something that dissolves those erroneous pictures. It doesn’t heal disease; there isn’t any. It doesn’t reform sinners; there aren’t any. It dissolves that belief in good and evil, and once that’s dissolved, you’re no longer seeing through a glass darkly; you are seeing face to face.
