Now prayer is an activity of the soul. Now prayer is an act of grace. It is not an act of man – it is an act of God. Prayer is an act of God taking place within me. It is a union with God. It is a contact with the source of infinite good, and it is done without words and without thoughts. It is done by standing still in being with no judgment, no criticism, no condemnation, no praise, no flattery – not even a praise of God, an acknowledgement of God. The acknowledgement of is. It is; I am. Continue reading The Art Of Meditation: tape 50B A Meditation (1/4)
“Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat or what you shall drink, or wherewithal you shall be clothed. Your heavenly Father knoweth you have need of these things and it is His good pleasure to give you the kingdom. Continue reading Meditation 3/4
That is an indestructible, indissoluble relationship, an unbreakable relationship. Continue reading True Prayer, The Source of Our Good
Since God is infinite, I am infinite by virtue of my oneness with God. For any human being even to claim, not only that they are God but the son of God or even spiritual, is mockery of truth – unless in the same breath they are realizing that this can only be true because of my relationship with God – because of my oneness with God. Therefore the infinite good of God within me is ever pouring Itself through into visible manifestation once I recognize that the kingdom of God is within me and stop looking out here to a person, to a place, to a thing, to an investment and realize, “No, these are all given to me for use, but in here is the source of them. Without the source of them being in here, there would be no such thing out there. I will never leave you, nor forsake you. Continue reading Meditation (6/6)
Whatever immortality is being made manifest through us is the immortality of God. Whatever of love, whatever of justice, is the love or the justice of God. Whatever of intelligence . . . his understanding is infinite. What good is that to you or me unless he and I are one? Then his infinite understanding becomes the measure, the capacity of my understanding. Only in oneness does that happen. Continue reading Two Steps To Spiritual Freedom (2/4)
And so it is you will find that in your Oneness with God, as far as you can see, everything that you can bear witness to is yours by the Grace of God, and without taking it from someone else. But because of its spiritual nature, it is multiplied in the life of every individual who bears witness to this Truth. Continue reading Attainment Of the Contemplative Life (4/5)
In the same way, it is so easy to believe that we can benefit each other. This is the natural belief of the natural man, the ego man. But you see, one branch cannot benefit another branch. Whatever benefit may come to you or me through each other is really only the life itself using us as its instrument. The benefit that comes into your experience from any direction is really God flowing Itself into your experience. Continue reading The Tree Of Life (3/5)
Deep within every person is a hunger for the bread of life. Friends, relatives, and even acquaintances who find their way to your home ostensibly seeking companionship, supply, or any form of material good, even though from their point of view that may be their purpose, are in reality longing and craving for the true substance of life, the meat that perisheth not. If you give them money and give them that alone, if you give them your physical, human companionship, and give them that alone, you are giving them a stone: You are not giving them the bread of life; you are not lifting their state of consciousness. This you can do only in the degree that you are specifically entertaining the consciousness of truth within your being as they come to you: Continue reading The Realisation of Oneness
