A Great Deal On Treatment (4/6)

Do you see why the mistakes we make? Thinking that God is a power available for us to use. The idea itself is horrible, but think how many years of saying, God is power, and of believing that God is power until we come to the realization, “Oh yes but God isn’t that kind of power.” God is the power maintaining Its universe, but God is not the kind of a power that we can use. The Christ (5/5)

I know this that the Bible is literally true in those passages that present to us universal truth, such as, for instance: I will never leave you nor forsake you. All these passages that show that the Christ is right where we are; that it isn’t the Christ that has forsaken us, it isn’t God who has forsaken us, it’s that we have, in our human sense, become separated from God. We have not agreed that God can set a table before us in the wilderness. We have not agreed that there is nothing impossible to God. And where we have said, “Well, why doesn’t God do these things,” or “Why isn’t the human race better off?” We forget the very logical answer: The world isn’t turning to God; it’s turning to some finite concept of God. Paul called it the God whom ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.   Continue reading The Christ (5/5)

The Christ (3/5)

1950 First Portland Tape 4 Side 1 The Christ By Joel Goldsmith Part 3 of 5 Now, I’m going to go to the third step along the way of scripture and show you that this meat that I have within, or water or wine or resurrection, was, as Jesus called it, even before Abraham. It was not a new dispensation given to the world by a man named Jesus. It was not a new teaching; it was an ancient teaching; so ancient that he said, before Abraham was, and Abraham was the Father of the Hebrews, the originators, so to … Continue reading The Christ (3/5)

Specific Principles (4/5)

Never forget, God is your true identity, and God is in the midst of you.  You need no longer seek for God or for truth.  You can read and enjoy any passage of truth that may be presented to you.  It may be in this Bible, it may be in the Koran, it may be in the Vedanta, it may be in the Hindu writings, the Chinese writings, the Japanese writings.  It will really make no difference to you, for in all of them you will find certain passages of truth, and you will love them and they will inspire you and they will be renewed life to you.  So it is that you no longer have to read for your life, for your health, for your supply.  Read only for inspiration because all truth came out of illumined consciousness. Continue reading Specific Principles (4/5)

Specific Principles (2/5)

And the second passage was, “My kingdom is not of this world,” and so I knew that you must never try to demonstrate money or a home or companionship.  You must never try to demonstrate holidays or vacations or automobiles or even transportation because the spiritual kingdom has nothing to do with this world. Yet, when you attain the spiritual kingdom, all of the things of this world are right there for your use.  They are the added things. Continue reading Specific Principles (2/5)

Toward the experience (2/6)

Infinite Way Letter 1965 – January Aka – Beyond Words & Thoughts By Joel Goldsmith Part 2 of 6 Toward the Experience   Motive         You might rightly ask, “then what is the good of all this teaching? What is the good of all the years of study of these books?” And I will say to you that the Experience will not come without that. The study, the practice, the living, and the reading are the steps that break down the mortal sense into which we were born, that enable us to “die” to mortal sense and to be “reborn.”         … Continue reading Toward the experience (2/6)

Contemplative Meditation (4/6)

Infinite Way Letter August 1956 By Joel Goldsmith Part 4 of 6 CONTEMPLATIVE MEDITATION Be Taught of God Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. I Corinthians 2:12, 13 Between the spiritual teacher and student there is a reciprocal spark of receptivity and responsiveness, because always the teacher has something to share … Continue reading Contemplative Meditation (4/6)
