The kingdom of God is neither lo here nor lo there it is within you. Now prayer is the means of contacting the kingdom of God within you. It is the means of communing with that kingdom of God. It is the means of becoming consciously at one with it. And again prayer is the means whereby we hear the still small voice where we receive impartations from God. So you see there must be a million, billion ways of that. Each day of the week should be different than the day before. A prayer in the morning should be different than a prayer at night. Why? Because we are going within to the kingdom of God within us to receive some assurance of God's presence. That is the purpose of prayer. Going within to receive some assurance of God's presence.

Change of practice

Joel shares here that there are billion ways to contact God and why dos he share this. In your spiritual practice you can become habitual. You are applying your human ways of repetition, patterns and habits. This was your coping mechanism as a human being.
In God, each moment is total and totally unique, Just like you are totally unique. In order to contact God it has to be spontaneous, away from your conscious control, that you don’t have anyway. So allow yourself to get creative and open-minded .

Sit in different spaces in a waiting room, in a bus stop, not always in the same chair or position. Stand up sit down, dance, walk, open eyed, closed eyed, sitting, lying down. With music, with nature sounds, silent. You get the idea.
