Recognizing the Invisible
Are you living on the materialistic plane of consciousness that has all its hopes, ambitions, fears, loves, and hates in the external world? Or do you perceive that behind this visible universe there is an invisible spiritual Presence, Power, and Law? Do you understand that that which is made and is visible is really made of that which is Invisible?
The multiplication of coconuts on a coconut tree is dependent, not on the tree, but on an invisible Source that operates in the tree, through it, upon it, and ultimately as the tree. The world calls it a force of nature without ever knowing what a force of nature is. Actually it is a name given to the unknown invisible Activity that produces fruit where there was none before.
If your sowing is entirely on the materialistic plane, your reaping must be on that plane, and since everything in the material realm is constituted of both good and evil, it means that there will be times when you will have good and abundant material activity and other times when you will have bad and insufficient material activity. You will be volleying back and forth between good and evil abundance and lack, sickness and health, life and death.
To sow to the Spirit means that even while you go through your human sense of life in the same way as you have heretofore, outwardly performing the same tasks, being about the father’s business in whatever way it has been given you to do, you will be recognizing that God is really the law of your activity:
Within me, though invisible, is the presence and power of God. Within me is the kingdom of God, the allness of God. I do not know how It operates: I only know that there is a Spirit in man, and that Spirit within me is the son of God, my true Selfhood.
This Spirit of God is within me for a specific purpose: to heal the sick, to raise the dead, to feed the hungry, to forgive the sinner. It is here to go before me to “make the crooked places straight.” It is here to go before me to reveal “mansions” to me. It walks beside me, and behind me.
This son of God within me, this spiritual Presence, is here to govern my day. It is my food, clothing, and housing; It is the source of my inspiration; It is that which governs, guides, protects, and leads me through the activity of my entire day.
