Now then, when we stop praying for things, when we stop praying for conditions, when we stop praying for our selfish little hides and stop reaching up to God; open ourselves and let God reach us, that is when the flow begins in every form of good necessary on this human plane. Someday we’re going to learn you know that this isn’t a human plane at all. The wrong concept we entertain of it is what makes it human. Once we see it in its right light this is just as spiritual as heaven will ever be.

Well, when we see the nature of God and the nature of love, that is when the miracle happens that changes all of our world’s experiences. Now I said that the world is praying for peace and prosperity and harmony and not getting it. It has always prayed for it and it never has gotten it, and always because there is something lacking. And now we come to that very point, and I’m going to read first from the 61st chapter of Isaiah.

The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek. He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives. And opening of the prison to them that are bound. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all that mourn, to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion. To give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness, that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified. And they shall build the old wastes. They shall raise up the former desolations. They shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations. And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks. And the sons of the aliens shall be your ploughmen and your vinedressers. But ye shall be named the priests of the Lord. Men shall call you the ministers of our God. Ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. For your shame ye shall have double. And for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess the double. Everlasting joy shall be unto them, for I the Lord love judgment. I hate robbery for burnt offering. And I will direct their work in truth and I will make an everlasting covenant with them. And their seed shall be known among the Gentiles and their offspring among the people. All that see them shall acknowledge them that they are the seed, which the Lord hath blessed. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord. My soul shall be joyful in my God. For He hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. For as the earth bringeth forth her bud and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth, so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. And why is this true? Because of the very first verse. The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because He, the Lord, hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek. He hath sent me to bind up…

Now listen, until the Spirit of the Lord is upon you, your prayers and your lives are wasted. All the prayers that have ever been uttered are worthless, except the prayers uttered by the priests; that is not those anointed by a church organization, those anointed by God or called by God to the priesthood or ministry or rabbinate. Unless the Spirit bear witness with your spirit in prayer, your prayer is useless. It’s nothing but a human begging or a human asking or a human seeking. But when the Spirit of the Lord God is upon you, then if you are healing there will be healings and if you are supplying there will be supplyings and if you are forgiving there will be forgivenesses. And the old wastes will be wiped out; the desolations will disappear. The sins of yesterday will become white as snow today. The poverty of yesterday will become the wealth of today. The disease of yesterday will become the health of today—if the Spirit of the Lord God is upon you, and if it isn’t, don’t waste time.
